When corporate communications are done right
June 27, 2021
What are you most passionate about at work?
LF has always been focusing on production and it’s not until recently that we decided to set up the communications department given LF’s extensive scope of business and growing size. One of my major tasks is to efficiently communicate the company’s core values, both externally and internally. We have long been perceived as a high quality metal parts manufacturer, but besides that what exactly does it mean to work with or work for LF? Our team is very excited to be presented with the chance to let stakeholders see LF through our lenses.
Describe a time when you observed a corporate value in action.
Driving innovation is one of LF’s core values. You might think the “corporate communications guy” just sits around the office and churns out presentations. That might be true if I worked in an agency, but in LF, I am encouraged to conduct regular campus visits to update myself with the company’s latest news, including new technologies or even changes in operational flows, in order to paint a more updated and relevant picture when conveying messages. Visiting the factory’s floor has always been refreshing for me as it is probably the most dynamic place to be in. People are very responsive, and each time I always spot changes from previous visits. It is the best place to witness how LF innovates, from something that is software related such as the enhancement of machine routing, to constructing our own robotic arms.
How do you stay energized and inspired at work?
I love reading books about companies with creative branding stories as they are where I draw my inspirations from. I always share interesting articles and cases with my colleagues. I believe they help us stay ahead of the curve.
